I’m a professional surf photographer who lives and works in Northern New England. Our weather can get pretty extreme in the winter months. Snow, sleet, and ice rain. My new All-Dry “Stormie” worked great in this last storm. Not only was I warm and dry, but my additional cameras and lenses stayed dry too. I finally have outdoor wear that can handle the elements I work in. Suffice it to say, I’m stoked!
Used for the first time yesterday surfing on lake superior. I say this jacket is a must for anyone doing arctic weather water sports. Being able to throw this over my cold wetsuit for immediate warmth is an absolute game changer. I cannot see myself going back out to surf without packing my "Stormies" jacket. This parka style jacket is a game changer! As a cold water surfer for decades I can tell you how hard it is to stay warm before and after a session. Aull-Dry Stormies takes all the layering out of the equation. It makes it easier to change in and out of wet suits without the awkward towel “duck change” in the parking lot. Definitely excited for winter to try it out in all the ways; snow shoveling, dog walking, after ski!
Not just for cold water activities! I not only use my Aull-Dry for winter surf sessions, for which it has proven to be a game changer for well, getting changed, but also for playing outside in the snow with the kids or even just taking the trash out on winter mornings.
